Comparison of Seat Selection Fees
When flying from Sydney to London, you could pay anywhere from nothing to over $250 per passenger to choose your own seats - or even more than $1,000 per passenger for exit row seat assignments!

This can really add up if you're flying as a family. And as more and more airlines try to supplement their revenue by charging for ancillary services, seat selection fees are only getting higher and more common.

Review: Sheraton Deva Spa & Golf Resort New Caledonia
Hotel review by big_RED | We stayed for 5 nights from 28/12/19 - 02/01/20 at the Sheraton Deva Spa & Golf Resort so it was just after Christmas, and over the NYE period. I'd done a lot of research into this resort and the vast majority of reviews online were extremely positive, with an average of 4.5 across all the major travel sites. I booked 2 x Bungalow King rooms for myself and my wife, and a mate and his wife. read more...
AFF Member Profile
This week, we interviewed AFF member PineappleSkip from Kilcoy. PineappleSkip joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2007 and has so far made 1,090 posts.

Q: Most recent trip?
A: Brisbane to Hargeisa, Somaliland, where I've been working the last year or so. Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and Dubai, then FlyDubai to Hargeisa, on a separate ticket. If you want a nice 'do not travel' destination, Somaliland is the place for you!

Q: What's still on your bucket list?
A: Svalbard, Norway. Home is South-east Queensland, work is hot and dusty, and the Arctic is, well, "how cool is that".

Q: What's one thing you would never travel overseas without?
A: *Rummages in cabin bag* - Passport. Ticket you can reprint and anything else you forget you can buy another one of when you get there.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: Be fair dinkum, but be tolerant of different opinions and always be courteous. It's never inspiring to see a thread descend into a petty dispute over trivia.

Q: Favourite forum on AFF?
A: I just love Tiger-bashing threads, but as they're thin on the ground I'd recommend the Cheap International Airfares forum. I love riding in comfort without spending a fortune.
