Featured AFF Member Trip Report
All the way to Santa Fe.....well Mexico City and the Good old US of A really.
Trip report by TonyHancock | After almost 17 months in Blighty, I am on my way again... albeit in a jolly inconvenient manner. Griselda, allegedly, had researched my predicament and advised me that the only efficient (as if efficiency was something that I spent hours thinking about, let alone striving for) means for me to reach the USA was via a two week jaunt to Mexico. read more...
AFF Member Profile
This week we interviewed AFF member hb13 from London (previously Sydney). hb13 joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2013 and has so far made 567 posts.

Q: Where did you go on your last trip?
A: My last trip was to Lisbon for a weekend (from London) with my partner. Having not travelled in five months, I was just happy being on a plane again. Lisbon has some amazing coffee places, which was a surprise to me!

Q: Where will you go when the current travel restrictions are lifted?
A: As soon as border restrictions ease, I will be planning to come home to Australia for a few weeks from London. I'm a Melbournian originally, but lived in Sydney for four years and some of my closest friends live there, so I'd be visiting both places.

Q: Favourite airline?
A: I'd say my favourite airline is Emirates for nostalgic reasons. I have many memories that make me smile around Dubai and Emirates, including the Emirates First Lounge in Dubai. I love Emirates first class - in my opinion it's the most "fun" first class. I do however equally love flying Singapore Airlines first class/suites because the service is the best in the world and I also love Qatar Airways business class. When I lived in Australia, Qantas was my favourite, and I don't see many domestic carriers worldwide that are better than QF.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: If you want to travel better, credit cards, frequent flyer programs and loyalty programs will make a MASSIVE difference, even if you only want to travel two to three times a year. Use AFF as a resource, as well as Flyertalk and other blogs/websites and educate yourself about these things - it is definitely worth it. I'm more than happy for members to start a conversation with me for any more advice.

Q: Favourite forum on AFF?
A: The Qantas forum is very useful for all things Qantas and the Credit Cards, Banking & Finance forums are very useful for everyone. Credit cards are the way into this caper, and are extremely powerful tools. Australia is lucky to have some great offers, especially when compared to the UK and Europe.
