International flights may be off the cards for some time yet, but domestic flights are starting to ramp up again. With that comes some great deals!

You've got until Wednesday to take advantage of Qantas' current domestic flight offers. Register to earn double status credits on Sydney-Ballina flights, or triple points on all Qantas domestic flights.

AFF Member Profile
This week, we interviewed AFF member OATEK from Sydney. OATEK joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2013 and has so far made 3,325 posts.

Q: Where did you go on your last trip?
A: Spent 3 weeks in the UK during the northern hemisphere school holidays in August 2019. Took our granddaughter away for a week by the seaside in Dorset, and another week away with her and her parents in Cornwall. Then had a week in France visiting key sites on the Western Front and the Normandy beaches, with a few lovely days in St Malo to finish.

Q: Where will you go when the current travel bans are lifted?
A: Ready to put our (cancelled) March/April itinerary to the UK into effect at a moment's notice, to be with our family for a few precious weeks. Might need a side trip perhaps to Berlin just for fun.

Q: Favourite airline?
A: Our first choice in recent years has been Finnair, using Cathay Pacific or Qantas to Asia. Love the Finnair A350 - well priced, good service and enjoy a stopover in HEL. Post pandemic would like to spend some $$ on Qantas though, if the fares are reasonable.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: I plan to the nth degree, multiple spreadsheets, notes, URLs all captured, with lots of trawling through the AFF site for tips. But the most important thing is to make sure that, when the journey begins, you get your head up and take in all the sights and experiences that come your way.

Q: Favourite thread on AFF?
A: Normally it is The view from my "office" - seeing where AFFers are whether at a real home, at work or at play, at home or abroad. But during current events the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion threads have required the most attention.
