Qantas Too Trigger-Happy with Emails?
Most Qantas Frequent Flyer members are used to getting emails from the airline. Qantas sends out almost daily emails about sales, Rewards Store discounts, health insurance, Qantas Golf Club, credit cards, monthly newsletters, offers to upgrade your flight... the list goes on.

But one AFF member is particularly unimpressed to have received no less than nine emails encouraging them to upgrade after simply booking a domestic flight.

Featured AFF Member Trip Reports
RTW to no-where in particular
Trip report by RooFlyer | This OneWorld RTW is going to be an odd one. When people ask me where I'm going, I've found myself saying 'nowhere in particular'. Its going to be a bit of a hodge-podge of some favourites re-visited (New York, Paris, Istanbul), some quick stops to get some history that I have been meaning to see for ages (Mexico City, Himeji, near Osaka, Strasbourg & Rhine valley of France), visiting relatives (French Alps), some new places (Bruges, Malta, Geneva, Taipei - maybe - and the Huntsville, Alabama rocket museum). read more...
CoVID-19, HKG and East Africa
Trip report by PineappleSkip | Ok, here's the game plan. Pineapple is off for a work trip to East Africa, QF to HKG, ET to ADD, then HGA, the latter of which warrants an into of its own later on, then reverse and return from HKG on CX. ET isn't the world's worst airline, it vies for the accolade of Africa's best. The 787s from Asia to ADD are mostly empty in J. read more...
AFF Member Profile
This week, we interviewed AFF member I love to travel from Brisbane. I love to travel joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2016 and has so far made 1,102 posts.

Q: Most recent trip?
A: Most recent holiday was an amazing 5 week RTW to Austria, Germany, France, the US and Penang on the way home. 8 different airlines and all international sectors were J or F using points. The highlight was my first Etihad First class flight. Asiana Business class was surprisingly good too.

Q: What's still on your bucket list?
A: Anywhere and everywhere I haven't been to in France. I adore everything about that country, especially the cheese and lesser known champagnes.

Q: What's one thing you would never travel overseas without?
A: My sense of perspective, things can and will go wrong but just work through the issue and move on.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: Research and planning before a holiday really pays off and actually gives you more flexibility once you get to your destination.

Q: Favourite thread on AFF?
A: Choosing a favourite thread is like trying to pick your favourite child! But I have recently started contributing to the Member Chit Chat thread and the genuine care for other members is obvious and really nice.
