AFF Member Profile
This week we interviewed AFF member ChrisMars from Canberra. ChrisMars joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2017 and has so far made 270 posts.

Q: Where did you go on your last trip?
A: I went to Cairns in May. It was great to escape some of Canberra's cold weather and to see the Great Barrier Reef, such a beautiful place full of amazing marine life. It was also my first dive for a while, I was a bit nervous but it all went well. I used some points to travel in Business as a nice way to start and end the journey, and I could fly direct for one of the legs which gave me more time in Cairns.

Q: Where will you go when the current travel restrictions are lifted?
A: I'll go to Europe probably within the first month of border restrictions lifting. I have some family and friends to visit.

Q: Favourite airline?
A: I feel Qantas has treated me well over the years, especially when something went wrong. That includes arriving late at the airport, missing a connection, or feeling sick when flying after a dive despite respecting the 24-hour interval. On each occasion, the staff were kind and helpful. And it's even easier now with platinum status.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: Asking questions on the forum is very useful. There are many AFF experts that are happy to help.

Q: Favourite thread on AFF?
A: I don't have a particular thread I follow. I spend most of my forum time on the Qantas forum where I have learned many practical tips to travel better on Qantas, or to maintain status more easily every year.
